Waterloo Turns On New Bridge Lighting Project

Iconic 4th Street Bridge Lights Up The Night Even More

Waterloo city and community leaders were on hand Thursday night for a ribbon cutting ceremony and initial lighting celebration on the 4th Street bridge in downtown Waterloo. The bridge lighting project began around a year and half ago. It’s all part of the Veterans Way Project, that extends along East 4th Street.  Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart says this marks the beginning of a new chapter for the city.

The project was designed by Rob Shakespeare, an Indiana based professional lighting designer.

Black Hawk County Veteran’s Affairs Director Yolando Loveless says while the project honors local veterans, it will help make a difference in everyone’s lives.
