Former Ark Governor Hutchinson Visits Cedar Valley

Republican presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson made a campaign stop in Cedar Falls Wednesday evening. The former Arkansas governor spoke at the Hilton Garden Inn in one of his first visits to the Cedar Valley.  He says he is a more traditional conservative, and is appreciative of the reception he’s received since announcing his candidacy.

Hutchinson says he sees many similarities with Iowans and in his home state.

So far, he’s been the only Republican to speak out publicly about former President Trump’s actions while in office. He also blasted the FBI for launching a probe into Trump’s campaign ties to Russia in the 2016 election.  He’ll be making other stops this week in Davenport and in Clinton.
