A trio of Metro girls tennis teams competed at Regionals yesterday.
In a Class 2A Regional Semifinal in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids Jefferson ended Waterloo West’s season, 5-0.
In another 2A Regional Semifinal in Iowa City, Cedar Falls took down Linn-Mar, 5-1. The Tigers then defeated Iowa City Liberty 5-3 in the Regional Final to qualify for State.
In a 1A Regional Final at Byrnes Park in Waterloo, top-ranked Waterloo Columbus rolled past Dike-New Hartford 5-0 to advance to State for the 41st consecutive season.
