Arena League Football Comes to Waterloo

Waterloo Joins Duluth, Springfield MO; Play Starts June 2024

The Arena League is coming to Waterloo! The indoor professional football league will be starting up next summer and Waterloo was announced Thursday as a new franchise team. Waterloo will be paired up with teams from Duluth, Minnesota and Springfield, Missouri. Arena League Commissioner and NFL Hall-of-Famer Tim Brown explains why he thinks Waterloo will be a good fit for the league.

Brown also talks about the League’s 2024 timetable.

Arena League advisor Tommy Benizio talks about where the players and coaches will come from.

Benizio says he’s certain the fourth inaugural team will be selected soon.

Waterloo will play their home games at the Hippodrome on the National Cattle Congress grounds and Benizio says it’ll be a great facility.

Benizio says he’s confident Waterloo will be successful for the new Arena League.

A team name is now needed for the new Waterloo club, and suggestions can be taken now at waterloofootball.com.
