The Black Hawks had their first five shots on goal before the game was five minutes old. They out shot the RoughRiders in the first and third periods and 35-29 for the games, but Cedar Rapids scored the only goal in the 1-0 decision.
The Hawks are back in action Thursday against the Fargo Force.
