Remsen St. Mary’s defeated the Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys basketball team, 57-47, in a Class 1A State Tournament quarterfinal yesterday.
The Rebels led by as many as 11 points in the second quarter, but the Hawks rallied and tied the game at 26 at halftime.
Remsen St. Mary’s led by seven going into the 4th quarter and went on to seal its victory.
William Kiburis led Gladbrook-Reinbeck with 16 points.
The Rebels finish their season 23-3 overall.
