Following District action this past Saturday, pairings are now set for the 2023 State Wrestling Tournament.
Several area schools had strong showings at Districts and are sending a large contingent to State.
In 3A, Waverly-Shell Rock is sending 12 qualifiers, while Cedar Falls advanced seven.
In 1A, Nashua-Plainfield qualified 13 for State, Don Bosco qualified 11 and Wapsie Valley qualified seven.
The State Touranment gets underway Wednesday in all three classes with 1st Round and consolation matches.
The tournament goes through Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
