A pair of area schools captured championships at the State Dual Team Wrestling Tournament Saturday in Coralville.
Don Bosco won the Class 1A title, defeating Wilton in the finals, 36-25. It’s the third straight State Dual championship for the Dons and 13th in school history.
Waverly-Shell Rock won its third consecutive State Dual title. The Go-Hawks defeated Southeast Polk, 36-33, in the 3A finals.
This coming Saturday, berths into the traditional State Wrestling Tournament will be on the line as District meets will be held in all three classes.
