Former UNI football standout Jared Brinkman has signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
Brinkman had a strong career as a defensive lineman for UNI. He played 55 games for the Panthers and tallied 39-1/2 tackles for losses, 18-1/2 sacks, six fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.
He twice was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Brinkman attended rookie minicamp with the New York Jets this year after playing for the Panthers from 2017-2021.
