The final round of the Mississippi Valley Conference Divisional boys golf meets took place yesterday.
Cedar Falls won the Mississippi Divisional meet held at Ellis Golf Course in Cedar Rapids with a team score of 300. The Tigers’ Max Tjoa was medalist with a 71.
Cedar Falls finished as the Mississippi Division overall winner with a three-round score of 890, 38 shots better than 2nd-place Cedar Rapids Xavier.
Individually, Cedar Falls’ Owen Sawyer was the overall winner with a three-round total of 209. Sawyer was named the Mississippi Division Player of the Year
Waterloo West competed in the Valley Divisional Meet yesterday held at Pleasant Valley in Iowa City.
Linn-Mar won with a 324, while Waterloo West finished 8th with a 371.
