Argument Causes Evansdale School to Lockdown; Driver Arrested

An Evansdale elementary school went into lockdown Wednesday morning after two people got into an argument and one mentioned shooting the other.  Evansdale Police say it happened around 8:00AM on Central Avenue in front of Poyner Elementary School.  Police say a male driver got out of his vehicle and exchanged words with the driver of another vehicle. A witness told police the man who first got out of his vehicle referenced shooting that person, and then made a hand gesture. The driver went back into his vehicle and left.  Police later arrested 74-year old Burton Mathes of Evansdale and charged him with disorderly conduct.
