Dike-New Hartford high school volleyball standout Payton Petersen has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Louisville.
She made the announcement on Twitter.
Payton, a junior, has helped lead Dike-New Hartford to two consecutive Class 2A state championships. The Wolverines are currently top-ranked in 2A and are favorites to repeat their state championship.
Last year as a sophomore Petersen was named the Class 2A Co-Player of the Year by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association and was named to the All-State Elite team for the second straight year.
Payton’s sister Jadyn recently committed to play volleyball at UNI.
