The 2022 high school football season kicks off this Friday for the majority of teams across the state, including the four Metro schools.
Week 1 metro games;
Cedar Falls hosts Johnston at the UNI-Dome.
Waterloo West battles Waterloo East at Memorial Stadium.
And Waterloo Columbus plays at Dike-New Hartford.
