UNI senior linebacker Spencer Cuvelier has been nominated to the Buck Buchanan Award preseason watch list.
The Buck Buchanan Award is given to the national defensive player of the year in college football’s Division I subdivision.
Last year he started eight games before his season was cut short due to injury.
Cuvelier still finished the year 5th in the Missouri Valley Football Conference with 8.2 tackles per game. He also earned First Team All-Conference honors.
