Two Panthers named to Stats Perform Preseason All-American team

Two UNI players have been named to the Stats Perform Preseason All-American team.

Panther placekicker Matthew Cook was named to the First Team and linebacker Spencer Cuvelier was named to the Second Team.

Last season, Cook, a junior from Cedar Falls, made 19 of 22 field goal attempts including a career-high 55-yarder. He was also a perfect 33 of 33 on extra points.

Last year, Cuvelier, a senior linebacker from Cresco, earned a spot on the First Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Team.

His 2021 season was cut short due to an injury but he still finished 5th in the conference with eight tackles per game.

Also named to the Stats Perform Second Team Special Teams was former Cedar Falls Tiger, Dalton Godfrey, as a long snapper. Godfrey is a senior and plays for the University of South Dakota.

David Warrington

David Warrington is interning with 1650 The Fan this summer. David will be a senior at UNI in the fall.
