Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray has been named NBA Summer League MVP.

The former Iowa Hawkeye averaged 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 40% on 3-pointers in four games in Las Vegas.

After a standout sophomore season at Iowa, the Kings selected Murray with the 4th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the highest a Hawkeye has ever been selected.

Murray will have high expectations as a rookie, playing for a Kings team that hasn’t reached the playoffs in an NBA-record 16 seasons.
