Motorcyclist Injured In Waterloo

A Westgate man was hurt Saturday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle east of Waterloo.  Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash scene at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Raymond Road just before 11:00AM.  Upon arrival, they learned Dempsey Birchard had been driving his 2005 Harley-Davidson south on Raymond Road when he lost control of the bike.  Birchard was taken to UnityPoint-Allen Hospital in Waterloo for non-life threatening injuries.
