Pending board approval, the Iowa High School Athletic Association will continue to hold the State Baseball Tournaments at Carroll’s Merchants Park and the University of Iowa’s Duane Banks Field.
Merchants Park will again host the 1A and 2A Tournaments, while Duane Banks Field will continue to be the site of the 3A and 4A Tournaments.
Both tournaments will run from July 18th through July 22nd.
Principal Park in Des Moines hosted the State Baseball Tournament from 2005 through 2020, but scheduling for Minor League Baseball is now managed by Major League Baseball for Iowa’s MLB affiliates and are currently unable to make multi-year arrangements for the predetermined tournament week.
