Cedar Falls Tigers advance to state baseball tournament for first time since 1989

The Cedar Falls Tigers punched their ticket to the 2020 state baseball tournament with a dramatic 7-4 win at Cedar Rapids Kennedy Wednesday night in a Class 4A Substate Final.

The Tigers win marks their first appearance at the state tournament since 1989.

Cedar Falls is scheduled to play its state tournament quarterfinal next Wednesday (at this time Class 4A pairings have not been released).
